What the heck is flood damage on old truck mean? It doesnt have BCMs ECMs,TCMs, digital dashes, fancy sound systems, fancy interior, and airbags and all the other stuff people worry about with late model flood vehicles. Pull out the carpet and let the thing dry out. What else?

just giving the OP some real world advice on restored/repainted cars.
I agree this might be a fair price but I would have to see it myself.
Thanks

Yeah, I hear ya, I like mentioned above, I dont ever think ill find a truck of this age with no bondo. My dad is going to talk to him. He said hes going to start at 3500 like stated above and go from there. I dont think its that bad from the pictures. Thanks for all the advice and your guy's past experiences. Great forum with a ton good people

Curiousas to how this worked out. FYI You can compare the vin # on the tag to the numbersstamped on the top of the frame near the steering box. As me tioned above, all old vehicles will have some bondo. You just need to be on the lookout for an excessive amount. If i was ever in the market for finished trucks i owd invest i. One of those gizmos ive seen that tells how thick the filler is. I forget the name...

Re: How much is this 1970 C10 worth? Wanting to buy my first truck

Looks like a nice truck, although it doesnt appear to be a "super", for example no woodgrain or emblem on glovebox door, and no stainless cover on tailgate handle and most obviously no super fender emblems. Still looks like a pretty nice truck.

It comes down to whether you want a lwb vs swb and stripper vs bling. 3 ott trans either way, but easy enough to change.

Kinda odd to see 3ott in a cheyenne but stranger things have happened. I have personally come across two cheyenne supers and one cheyenne with 6 cyl and 3ott. Most peoe think that the cheyenne or cheyenne super package got you a v8, but it was actually an appearance package only.

Just make sure its not full of bondo. 350s are a dime a dozen. Short beds arent.
......agreed.

Well my dad talked the guy down to 4400. He was impressed with it when he looked at it. and from what the other people pay for some of them. I think I got a good deal. Not a steal but something i can drive daily and its not a rust bucket
