Original paint 1972 Cheyenne short bed

I just had to share a truck that I just recently purchased. For the most part it has remained untouched other than the white on the roof repainted at some point. The truck is a Cheyenne but does not have the super option. Sometime along the way somebody did some interior work and put all of the super woodgrain inside but I have all the original pieces. Personally I love the woodgrain dashes in these trucks so that will stay. All the mechanical components are original from what I can tell even down to the original shocks. The truck started its life in Arkansas and then moved to Missouri for some time and then ended up in Alberta on a farm. I actually lost sleep thinking about the purchase of this old truck. The guy I bought it off of said he really would love to see the truck stay original and that's my plan because they are only original once. Anyhow everybody likes a few pictures so here it is.

Well I work at a car dealership and the fellow was buying a new pickup from us. Just as I was doing up paperwork a young fellow rolled up outside my window in a an old 71 or 72 pickup and the guy looked at me and said ( I have one of those at home but a little nicer than that one). That was my Queue!!! Now it was question period... Funny how a guy finds stuff sometimes.

I would not surprise me if a truck like this made it full circle and back to wherever home might be. I believe I have the name of the original dealer that sold it new. When I get home I will dig that out and share.

Its a hard truck not to stare at that's for sure. I like all of the little details that have remained untouched other than maintenance.

Yes I believe that things happen for a reason.

Yeah if that old truck would not have showed up at that very second we likely would not have had a conversation about his truck. It was kinda funny because in my head I was picturing the old farm truck kinda beat and sitting along side the tree line at first. When he mentioned Cheyenne I started to really pay attention and the last thing he said was short bed so I almost felt like I should follow him home haha.
