Re: 66 shorty step Easy project....what was I thinking?

Well I haven't updated in a while so I'll put in a bunch of pics and catch anybody who cares up to date. I finished up the drivers side cab corner, inner outer rocker and other sections of the floor, pass. side cab corner and then moved on to the brakes. I decided to go with 6 lug all around...mainly because I scored a deal on some 6 lug rims so changing the front from 5 to 6 became easier(cheaper) than changing the rear to 5 lug. Ordered the 6 lug conversion kit from cpp. great kit, new front brakes and calipers, took apart the rear and blasted the whole thing. I put por15 on everything then all new brakes and spring kits, solonoids etc. if it's in there it's new. Finally all back together and sitting on a new set of sneakers ready to roll inside for the winter and get its heart transplant. I blasted the rims, then painted the center the same color the truck will be then sanded the outer lip of the wheel smooth and polished it back to its original finish, they look like new now. Some day when I'm reeaaly bored I'll paint allthe rivets on the wheels to match. On with the pic's.

Some more pics. also on a side note I'll throw in a pic of my distraction that tends to slow down progress a bit. I mentioned it in my very first post I believe.

Re: 66 shorty step Easy project....what was I thinking?

Thanks guys for the good words and making me feel ...not so alone over here. Jeff yeah the 46 is a cool truck, I pick away at it a little here and there. I try to stay focused on the 66. I want that up and running asap the 46 is going to take a long time and$$$. 383 thanks, and have fun with your body work, I know my inner/outer rockers were a learning experience. TJ. thanks I need all the help I can get..especially getting a motivational push now and then.Chad, man you have a growing family brother, you need a car to keep them all in on the scene. I wish my wife would drive anything older than the newest sleekest sportiest car I can afford. Count your blessings, I know you have a lot of obstacles in your way but with a supportive wife behind you nothing is impossible. Once again guys, thanks for leaving a note!

Not quite that fast Don it just seems that way because I don't post until I have a lot accomplished. Thanks for the compliment, you're doing some pretty fine work yourself my friend.
