Angry got rear ended yesterday

Hey all! I don't have any pics of the wreck yet, I was trying to sell my 72 lwb 2wd and i took it to lunch yesterday because it has been sitting for a while. I got rearended at a stop light. Well, when i get the funds together my next rig is going to be a 72 k20 with a 6.0L and 4L80E I think. I have a frame lined up so im gonna need some expert advice as soon as i put my truck back together and sell it! Then the fun starts, i'm pumped!

Re: got rear ended yesterday

Thanks for the warm welcome! I don't think they're going to total my truck. The frame got tweaked and the box popped up and put two little dings in the cab. It hit hard enough to push both of my headers into the a arm bushing and dent em. If you looked at it you'd probably say it just needs a bumper and one exhaust pipe. The estimate was at 3250 until the adjuster came and actually found some things my buddy at the body shop left off! I'm hoping I get the big check sooon. Maybe i should sell it as is. It would be an easy fix especially if you don't mind two microscopic dings in the cab and two microscopic cracks. And a couple chips on the edge of the tailgate. Again, Thanks for the welcome everyone.

Welcome, I'm new too. That is an awsome truck. The yellow with the wood bed looks so cool. Maybe you should keep it.

Re: got rear ended yesterday

Sorry to hear about getting hit. I WANT TO SEE THE OTHER CAR! If the guy hit you hard enough to do that kind of damage, the other vehicle must be history! So take pictures of the other idiot's car and post 'em so we can all laugh at the poor SOB!

I got hit about a year ago in my 1-ton. Idiot side swiped me on the freeway in a Hyundai... then tried to run!!! We got up to around 95 MPH and I was about to push him off the road so he finally stopped. False plates, no license, reg, insurance, or GREEN CARD! Homey went to jail.

Question Re: got rear ended yesterday

Hi - I am brand new to this site... and will try to jump in this way... like you - I took my 97 GMC 4X4 to Ottawa after it sat at my cottage for a couple of weeks. On the way home at 10:00 at night I collided with a big buck which took out the entire front clip, rad and jamed the bumper up against the front left tire.

I never felt a thing - can;t say the same for the deer.

My problem is that I had a pair of aftermarket high rubber-faced chrome bumperettes that were no-drill and clamped at top and underneath.... The GM body shop can't find anything like them. I have searched on the web and can't either.

Does anyone out there have a source for good lioiking bumperettes?
