Re: New Guy from Md

Not sure if the pics will work, but here is a few shots of my truck. After almost a year and a half of searching i find this truck within 2 miles of my house. I was working in the guys house, and happened to see it in a pole barn in his back yard. After a 20 min conversation and quick look around, i bought the truck for $500 just as it sits now. I bought a set of Boyd Coddington 20's and a front roll pan off ebay. Now all i need is a bed, i cant stand the one on it now. Here is a link to the wheels i bought. Anyone up north with a swb bed for sale?

Welcome and congrats on finding one so close for so little $$$. You'll probably find the bed you're looking for the same way you found the truck!

Thanks for posting the picks and eetails. Dude you stole that truck. Sure it needs some work, but that still a killer deal. Those wheels are going to make a huge change too...

Re: New Guy from Md

Welcome from PA! I'm about 20 min North of Westminster, where you at? theere was a short bed on ebay a few weeks ago that was about 2 hrs. east of me, starting bid was $50 I think and there was only 1 bid! I agree with you on how that bed looks! I' not fond of those newer beds on vintage tin.

There was a bed in a local yard a a few years ago too, and I think they shredded it if I know of a short bed I'll let you know !

Re: New Guy from Md

Thanks guys, im from Rising Sun which is in Cecil county. Beside the cab corners, the truck is in decent shape. He even threw in another 350/350 combo and a 5 lug setup from a 71 pickup. Im not gonna use either, but hopefully i can sell both of them and the bed to help finance my air ride set up.

Chevy fatman, i appreciate you lookin out

Re: New Guy from Md

Welcome to the board. The bed alone should get you around $400-$500 if its in good shape.
