Im back!!!!!

I gave my 72 stepside to my brother about a year ago for his birthday and i've been missing it every since. Well my friend purchased a 71 c-10 and decided that he would renew my soul and offer his 69 to me. He gave me a deal that i could not refuse and now it belongs to me and I can't wait to get it back road worthy.

Thanks! Yeah...its a fair looking truck. It only needs a transmission to be able to drive. It has a vortec 350 in it. I wish i had the money to go through it the right way, maybe one day.

Re: Im back!!!!!

Nice. You can instantly make it look 10x better for less than $9, and half a Saturday. I'd remove that lip over the windshield and those bars on the bed sides, and then wash it and use some Maguires Cleaner Wax. It'll remove the chalky oxidation and other crap from the paint, leave a nice shine, and protect the patina

No problem. You can do so much by removing junk, cleaning, and painting.

Your grille looks structurally decent. Just needs to be shined and painted. The headlight bucket trim is easy to remove and paint too. The plastic inner grille isn't hard either

Here's mine after I did that

Mother's metal polish with a drill attachment worked great on my bumper. It worked pretty good on the grille, but I'd like to give it another shot sometime to see if it'll get more shiny

Re: Im back!!!!!

I just dipped into my parts savings for the 69 to get this. All i can do now is clean and do odd things on the 69 that doesnt cost...no money but satisfied.

Thanks! But im living pay check to pay check my friend. I just have a weakness for classic cars and trucks. I also have a 68 impala fastback and a 72 mustang mach 1 fastback. My dreams are to own the lineup of 65-70 impala 2 door coupes, four more to go!! Someone told me that I need to get my priorities in line, take a quick quess on who said that!! Exactly, the significant other! Maybe i should start a thread on that, I think i will!
