Clean uncluttered engine bay pics please! - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

My goal is for as clean and uncluttered engine bay that I can accomplish in my '80.
Being factory air makes "uncluttered" the hard part...
Moving the compressor to the RH side should help.

BUT... I'd like to see pictures of your work! Please????

Well we don't have a/c but here's the one in dad's 84.

The key to making parts go away is to make them blend with their surroundings. To offset that, you will want your motor to attract the attention away from the firewall.

more pics susanville-slam. I just ordered a set of valve covers like that for my 88. interested to see some more up close ones and what breathers and oil fill cap you are using.

Ok here is a picture before I dropped her in the engine bay, the breather/oil caps are a finned billet set I picked up at a Swap Meet from one of the Hot-Rod type vendors (name escapes me), but a REAL nice set, quality baffled grommets, pcv valve is a nice piece as well, they were a little pricey but nice quality cost money........they were like $75 for the pair....More than the Factory Valve covers cost me.....

I guess his whindsheild wiper motor is on the inside of the cab too? I think I remember that he said his brake booster is on the inside... Just trying to give us all help with cleaning up the engine bay. Not trying to hijack

I know some of you guys are drooling over this....
but this is TOO MUCH....

I want clean and uncluttered... and realistic for a driver...

I just snapped these pics this morning. Please keep in mind that the truck is a daily driver and I've swapped on three different carbs in the last few weeks and still have some details to tidy up.

Threw some before and after pictures. The first 2 had the 305 the last 2 has the 383. Oh, i do have a new overfill can so its not that brown color, the a/c it hooked up and the bottom of the hood is painted the same as the truck. So basically i should take new pictures of under the hood.
