Bear claw latches

Installed a set when years ago but keep having issues with one side. No matter how much I adjust it, it pops half way open when you hit a bump or sometimes just randomly. Anyone have this issue?

Re: Bear claw latches

I'm putting in a pair right now so a few things come to mind. Is there enough adjustment out so that the claw fully wraps the pin., is the door gasket tough?
Have you used the truck enough to wear it out? Are the door hinges loose? If problem was from day one, maybe claw is defective.

I replaced the pins on the hinges awhile back but haven’t used it enough to wear them out. I ordered new latches last night so I’ll know soon enough if its defective.
