Garage squad Blazer

Just wondering if anyone else had seen the commercial for the upcoming season of garage squad. It features a first gen. blazer. I'm excited to see the episode. Also wondering if the owner is a member on here.

Re: Garage squad Blazer

I submitted a video for my Jimmy when the show just started but they informed me at the time they were only doing vehicles around the Chicago area back then. I was pretty bummed when I found out, looks like they go to more places now.

That would be cool. I would assume the truck would have to have minimal rust to be a contender.

Re: Garage squad Blazer

I saw the episode. Its reality TV so a bunch of things are left out. But I enjoyed seeing a Blazer!

Re: Garage squad Blazer

Looked like a pretty dry one too!

Unless I missed it, there was no talk of any rust repair at all.

They said they changed the front fenders due to the amount of paint on them. Did they change the doors too?

Sure looked kinda crazy how they painted inside the building without draping plastic anywhere around the walls etc. That was probably just fantasy TV land.

Still looked like a great Blazer at the completion of it.

Re: Garage squad Blazer

No mention of rust in rockers nor in the doors. They did fix some rust in the rear panels. I assume they replaced the quarter panels due to rust although they didn't really talk about it (they just said they where too full of Bondo).

The guy lived by a river so it had be pretty heavily rusted!

I noticed on one of the rockers they showed it looked rusted out but they didn't replace them. They only repaired the quarter panel. I'm pretty sure they just did quick fixes. Pretty disappointing.they replaced doors and fenders.
