Is there a way to circulate engine oil in a 2007 6.0 liter engine?

Hello,

The engine is no longer in the truck nor has it been taken apart. It was detached from the transmission and pulled with everything still attached. It came out of a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 hd with a 6.0 liter engine and manual transmission. It has a cast iron engine block and aluminum cylinder heads.

Does anyone know or have a thread to how, if possible, to circulate the engine's oil throughout the block? I am not that familiar with these engines yet and any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

You would need a priming tool with an adapter where the oil cooler lines(or bypass goes) or where the oil pressure sending unit mounts. The oil pump is driven by the crankshaft at the front of the engine.
