4x4 jamboree Indianapolis

Anyone heading to the Jamboree in Indy Sept. 20 weekend? Should have a couple trucks up there.

Where's the best(cleanest and safest ) place to stay?

Re: 4x4 jamboree Indianapolis

You won't find any hotels near the fairgrounds, not that I would recommend staying there even if you did. Probably your best bet if you want to be on the Northside of town would be the hotels at the 86th St/Castleton exit off of I-69. There are quite a few and its a nice area with a lot of restaurants near by.
Then all you have to do is head south on I-69 which turns into Binford Blvd which then becomes Fall Creek Road. Fall Creek will take you straight to the fair grounds at 38th St.
Depending on where you're coming from, this might take you a little out of your way to get to the hotels, but its the easiest way to get from the hotel to the fairgrounds. Hope this helps and hope you enjoy yourselves. I enjoy going every year.

Re: 4x4 jamboree Indianapolis

Sorry for the late reply, cant seem to get enough time to even log on anymore. We are heading down there on Friday morning, hoping to get a decent parking spot. I will have the Duramax and the 71 plus a couple buddies from St. Louis bringing up a couple trucks.

Should be a good time.

We are staying on the north side as suggested, we used to stay southwest of town, PRETTY ROUGH down there

I will try to get some pics with my phone, camera is toasted.

Swing by and say hi if you see the trucks

Awesome! Thanks for the pics. Is the attendance lower than it use to be? If it wasn't so damn far I'd be there!

Not sure what the official truck count was, it did seem a little lower but there were still a probably a couple thousand trucks or so?

I love the color, what is it? How did you do on the Dyno?

How is Lima compared to Indy?

Re: 4x4 jamboree Indianapolis

The color is BMW Montego blue. It made 371 hp 665 trq. We usually only go to Lima for one day it is a rowdier crowd it is more of a big party. You see a lot of dumber **** done at Lima . We spend the weekend at Indy we like it a lot better it is more laid back.

Re: 4x4 jamboree Indianapolis

Duramax, What tires are you running on the blue '71?

I've got a '67 long bed, 468 BB and 1-tons (a little lighter blue) and love the look/stance you achieved!

Nice!

Re: 4x4 jamboree Indianapolis

truckman1 - the Wheels are Ion Terminators (I beleive) and they are 17x12 with 35'' Pitbull Rockers, the trucks has 7'' of lift on it.

Re: 4x4 jamboree Indianapolis

Duramax, I just realized your truck is the desktop image on my computer!!!

I've had it for quite awhile as the truck I use to inspire me to make my truck better!

Unbelievable!
