van parts interchange

I know this has been said before but what parts interchange from Chevy and GMC vans? It looked like to me that a door mirror might be the same. How about tilt wheel column? I saw one on a 76 GMC the other day in a bone yard in Irwin. Any other parts?
Thanks

Thumbs up

I used to get the "custom" side marker lights from them. They fit the 68-72s

The lower door hinges on vans look exactly like the upper hinge on our trucks.

Sorry about the engine/tranny comment...I was in a smart @ss mood.
On the GMC versions, the hood letters almost work. They are a bit smaller, and you need to drill extra holes for it to work.
I don't think any of us have tried the rear bumper...the look pretty darned close to me.

Are the license plate holders the same as what is used on the rear chrome sport bumpers? Also think the small rectangular mirrors may be the same-know where there is '73 van that the mirrors look very similar, if not exact. Haven't had a chance to put them next to each other.

Ochre color

Great! I thought the mirrors were similar.
How about the fan shroud?

I wouldn't hold my breath...the radiator to engine location seems way too diferent. What kind of shroud you looking for? I have a small block one, if i can not incorperate it into the Caddy swap, it'll just be hogging up space here.

Well, keep an eye on here for when i announce that my Caddy motor is in. I will sell it to you if your still looking. I'll have absolutly no use for it then. I've already held onto it for almost 2 years now.
Make sure you ask about it though...I will forget...guranteed.
