Skid plates
Does anyone know what the original 4x4 skid plates might be worth?
I found a guy who has a set but he wants $200 for them. Is this a resonable price?

I didn't think GM ever made origional skid plates.. Did they?

Assuming you are talking about the crossmember type, GM did make them for the Rockwell and NP205 T-case trucks. Here are some pics with the Rockwell first. As far as value it's hard to say. They are difficult to find. Sharpie

I have seen blazer SPID labels with the skid plate option code but never seen one on a truck label. I remember from past discussions on here that it was a blazer specific factory option code, but if someone shows me a truck SPID with the skid plate option on it I will change my mind.

Well heck, i thought that was just part of the cross member..
 I was envisioning stuff i have seen in offroad applications.

A true set of skid plates would be worth $200.I thought they were K/5 only,too.But,they didn't use Rockwells,either,did they?I'm curious if they were used earlier.

I have a 68 K20 with a cross member skid plate and a rockwell t case. My 71 and 72 K20 trucks do not have the skid plate.
