Radiator swap 350 to 400

I have a project truck, 1989 Chevy Suburban V2500, 4x4 with the 350 TBI that has 81,000 original miles. I want to replace the factory radiator with one out of a 1980 GMC with a 400, 6.6. Automatic Trans. As far as sizes look it all matches. Does anyone know of any incompatabilities between the two?

Re: Radiator swap 350 to 400

Is the 400 a gas or diesel motor?

It appears that the 400 is only slighty bigger than the 350's radiator. But may I ask why you want to change out the radiators?

I am hoping it will give the engine better cooling
Circulation, in pulling or hot weather.

Would this help or will it be a mistake?
