Highlander winter cleaning

After following along on the Grande deep cleaning thread, I thought it would be a good idea to do some cleaning inside my cab as well. It looks that at some point the floor was used as a paint table. I was hoping to find a tag with the date on my carpet, but so such luck. I thought hard about replacing it, but just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I’m trying to preserve the truck the best I can. Had some good help today. She’s waay too nice for me. Happy New Years!

Re: Highlander winter cleaning

The Mrs. really came through with these mats I got for Christmas. They came from Brothers truck parts. Good heavy rubber. Seat tag I found while I had it out. I’m a nerd for that stuff!

Re: Highlander winter cleaning

The factory painted the rear bumper gravel shields there. I have also seen radio delete plates painted on the cab floor. I have seen gas caps painted up on the cowl when the cab was painted.

Re: Highlander winter cleaning

Here’s where a delete plate was painted. And you can see under the cowl where the gas cap was placed for paint.

Re: Highlander winter cleaning

Thanks Joe! I would have never thought of that. Good eye to find where that gas cap was painted.

Re: Highlander winter cleaning

Ha! Nice job Mike! I’m happy I inspired your cleaning, looks great and the painting table for other parts on your truck, so cool. I’m a nerd for all that kind of stuff as well, such an interesting snap shot in time of a great truck good job!

Thank you! I didn’t know exactly what it was either. I’ve learned a ton on here.
