Same deal here. My factory 70 model shroud is to small for the factory late model fan. Fan and shroud opening both measure 19 1/2" diameter. What shroud do I need for the serpentine set up to work?

I'm not really sure what buyers have been doing about shrouds. You may want to send some PM's to other guys that have done the conversion. I do know that some have used electric fans.

Re: Serpentine belt conversions

Can you set one with alternator ,crank, long water pump and power steering with idler? Shipped to 78234. I have electric fans so no need for anything but the pulley for the water pump.

Re: Serpentine belt conversions

Aren't the R4 compressor all made for Freon? Based on some advise from a friend at Vintage Air, I flushed my compressor and used it with 134. Vintage also makes a conversion kit with brackets for a Sanden compressor with a serpentine pulley, Straight swap, just more $$$

Re: Serpentine belt conversions

Hi, I was wondering if you still had any small block kits? I have a 68 327. The right head does have 1 mounting hole in it. Left has 2. Will this work? I need a kit with no a/c compressor and no smog pump. Will my stock fan shroud work? What would the price be with shipping to 47203? Thanks

Yup if you flush the system the pump won't care if it has R12 or R134.

Your 327 has later heads on it so these conversions will work just fine. I can do the conversion as asked. As for the shroud I'm not sure. Many members in this thread have bought one so you may consider asking them. 200.00 for the conversion less the AC pump and with a idler to take the place of the pump. 70.00 shipping. Thanks, Tom
