Why are threads being moved?

I have not personally had any moved but am curious. Some are for obvious reasons and others I am not sure why?

Re: Why are threads being moved?

Usually if a thread has been posted in the wrong/incorrect forum, it will be moved to the correct one. Such as a "here's what I did to my truck this weekend" thread posted in the General Forum might be moved to the Pickup Message Board.

Re: Why are threads being moved?

I looked at a few, they are being moved to forums where they will be more helpful. Suspension, engine, etc. For example, the control arm thread Glock posted can be helpful to more than just the 67-72 folks so it was moved to suspension where it'll ge more traffic.

Re: Why are threads being moved?

I don't really use anything but this section and the parts board because it does not look like other forums get enough traffic for some questions. Does anyone else feel the same way? Again just curious.

Correct, we have specific forum categories for just that reason

Most others do use the other areas of the forum, there is a ton of information out there that is applicable to many years of trucks, not just one particular range.

Re: Why are threads being moved?

I bet a lot of the times a question is already answered in the correct forums if everyone would go there and look. The sub forums get a lot more traffic than people realize.
