Ditto on the question

I asked it in a previous thread on a different topic, but hoping that it will get answered

I have kind of wondered the same thing

I have kind of wondered the same thing.

I could see where a properly designed bolt-on one could actually be stronger than a welded one if done properly.

Of course you could always buy a bolt-on and weld it and bolt it....

I would like to see some of the guys who have done both to see what they think the differences are.

advantages and disadvantages....

Regards

Stacey

Just make one out of pipe and plate steel unless you want a huge one that will work fine. put the pipe in there and cap it witht he plate then cut everything out.

If you have welding / Fabricating skills of the slightest level you can make your own Its not rocket science Most are two pieces of plate connected with Flatbar

How many inch notch where you looking for? I have a friend thats all about airbags and all that crap. I can ask him what sources he knows of for these trucks Althou We were going to do a homemade on his truck Untill he lost interest In it ..
