Yes, we are both on Instagram. I'm @mikeymaysmith, and the shop is @oneoffcustoms.

There is a ton of custom things that Wes has done which I haven't yet grabbed photos of. I'm planning to do that during teardown for paint and reassembly. I did grab a shot of the inner fenders in progress last night though 😊

Yeah it turned out way better than I was expecting. All part of trying to achieve 50/50 weight balance.

I talked to Goodguys event director yesterday, and non-running vehicles are only allowed in the car corral area. So if anybody is coming out to say 'Hi' tomorrow just know you might have to hunt around a bit to find us

Had a great day at Goodguys. It was nice to finally have this thing out in the public. Everybody who walked by would comment about how they had a square or know somebody who did.

Re: Project Cannonball C10

Still in fabrication phase...time is running out. We have just about finished the engine bay and front end. Next (and final) part is the cab interior, then onto bodywork and paint.

I'm focusing on getting all the wiring in place and harnesses built in the next two weeks, so it should be quick and easy when we do final assembly. The electronics have gone between extremes over the course of this build, originally planning on a factory reproduction harness and now building everything from scratch.

Re: Project Cannonball C10

Over the last couple of months I've also put together the motor for this build. I've done top end work on a few of my cars before but never tackled a full motor build so I couldn't resist the opportunity 😊 I'm super anxious to get it fired for the first time as I have visions of head gasket leaks and busted pushrods, though I spent a few days going over head assembly.

Re: Project Cannonball C10

Thanks everybody. Its a work in progress 😊 Spent the last couple of Saturdays doing wiring. I've only got the dash and front harness done so far...going slower than I expected (what isn't on this project haha).

Not sure if I've posted a photo of the cab floor since we started modifying it a few months ago. We relocated the gas tank to the back so there was a bunch of dead space under the seat to use. We decided to drop in a couple of boxes to do upwards firing subwoofers. These will be topped with an MDF lid to mount the sub to (you can see one cutout in the photo).

I'll grab a few more pics tonight.

Our plan is to get to SEMA but we've got a lot of work ahead of us to get there.

In case you aren't following my Instagram feed, Wes made a new purchase for the shop for our trip down to SEMA in November...a '73 Squarebody C60 ramp truck. Like we need another squarebody project 😉
