2.8 tbi
Last weekend I picked up a real nice '83 Blazer 4x4 in Italy.
Lots of options and in great shape, looks like a survivor to me. It's a carbed 2.8 automatic all original, smug pump etc, its still there. Because it will be a daily driver for my father I'm planning to put a LPG injection system in it. Gas prices over here are about +$7,40 a gallon  against $2,66 for liquid propane gas.I'm going to run it with a stand alone EFI computer (simular to a megasquirt). Does anyone has an 2.8 intake manifold complete with TBI and relevant sensors for sale? How far is the 2.8 engine different from the 4.3 version because I've got a complete GMC Syclone intake here that I could possibly use???? I know lot's of people swap the weak V6 for a 4.3 or V8 but the problem is that they are not available as easy over here in Europe. I'll post some pics of the car later on this week. |

the 2.8 is a 60 degree v-6 the 4.3 is a 90 degree so the intake will not work, no.

Thats a common set up over here. I'm going to be removing my 2.8 TBI and installing a TBI 350.but it's gunna be awhile before I do it. I know of several junk yard near me. That I could get this stuff from for you Whats your budget to spend, shipping would be killer to ship a whole intake set-up.

Another option would be the Multi-port setup off a 2.8 or 3.1 Camaro, Firebird, or Fiero. Those look nice under the hood of an S10.

Is a Fiero intake opening facing the front or rear of the engine? Do these fit without any mods? |

a fiero intake points to the tranny. a Camaro/Firebird intake aims at the fan.
