Re: Pics of GMC only

This is my '70. When I bought it I was looking for a 71/72 chevy 4x4 because those have always been my favorite of the 67-72's, but this truck caught my attention. I was on the fence about whether I'd keep the GMC front or not but it has grown on me a lot.

I agree, I like that road they're on too, nice wide tires, the 4 by 4's are awesome. Thanks for starting this thread, I'm enjoying it.

Ive always been a Chevy fan, never considered having a GMC. But now I have one and the first thing I decided to do was convert it to 68 Chevy clip.

While looking for paint ideas Ive seen quite a few GMC that are changing my mind a bit. Would love to see some more, so post em up please.

Mine, I have a set of 9.75 x 16.5 slotted mags and new tires for it. Probably a week or two before I get them mounted. This isn't a current pic but its close ... it has GMC lettering now lol.
haha I'll trade ya a 68' chevy with a gmc clip on it lol

The GMCs were just nicer looking in my opinion. Plus they were more money back in the day.

GMC's always have been my favorite. I wish mine was really a gmc vs a chevy with a gmc clip.

Re: Pics of GMC only

Mooch is getting a little rough around the edges body wise but he's plenty stout in the drivetrain department. Under the hood there's a stroker 489 full roller with Edelbrock top end, NV4500 with 12" dual disk clutch, NP205 with the coupler eliminated, D60/14bolt combo with four wheel disks, 4.11's and a Grizzly locker on 33"s. The motor puts out over 600lb/ft of torque. Heaviest I've rolled over the scales was 19,890lbs with a toy hauler.

! Put the steering wheel on the right side! Swapped the wiper over to the 'spare' hole in the cowl. RHD wipers. (Just as well the factory provided the extra mounting, and drew nice 'how to' pictures in the factory assembly manual!).
