The obvious places would be the parts board, Craigslist, FB pages, and swap meets. You can broaden your search by looking for more than just out of a 350 truck. They were all the same no matter which motor came in the truck.

You want a shift lever for an SM465 [ or CH465]. First production year for this transmission was 1968. Also called a 4 Speed Muncie.
General Motors put them behind about every truck engine they had: L6s 250, 292, V8s 327, 350, 400, 396, 402, 427, 454, V6s 305, 351.
Very tough tranny. You don't usually need the compound low "granny gear" but when you do, it's nice that it's there.
The SM420 was its predecessor -- last year 1967. Slightly shorter case length, lower gears had even lower ranges than the 465. Gear #4 is 1:1 of course.
SM is for SynchroMesh. No synchro in 1st.

Yes, without pix, it could be anything.

Pretty sure I have one in the parts stash. Let me know if interested and I will dig it out and post a pic of it to the parts board. Stick only, no gear shift knob.

Tino, click Post Reply, or if you hit Quick Reply, then hit Go Advanced. From there find Attach Files and hit Manage Attachments.
A side window will pop up with 5 boxes marked Choose File. Clicking on one will bring you to your saved pictures. [Select up to 5, but the fewer, the faster.]
Select one or more, then hit Upload, once the white circle stops spinning, hit Close Window.
If you can see an icon above Manage Attachments, hit Submit Reply, and that's it.

Here's an SM465/T221 in the back of my Stepside. Not the best pic, but I needed to post a pic to see all the steps in the process.

engine size or year doesnt matter, need to get a pic of your transmission, they used the same transmission if it was a small block or big block

If you don't find a used one, take a look at Novak adapt. They have one that you can bend to suit your needs.

Re: Where to get 350 small block 4 speed granny low shift stick

I found the one I have, came from a Muncie SM265 out of a 71 2wd. Will get some pics taken of it and post to the parts forum and you take a look. Should be correct for your truck year for original look.
