1966 C60 door glass

I need a C60 expert. Am in the process of replacing left door glass in a 1966 C60. It has a black metal frame around the glass like the earlier model C10s had. I have been told that 1966 C10s do not have the metal surround frame. So what's the deal?? Did GM keep the earlier design window with the metal frames for the larger model trucks?? Anyone know for sure?

Re: 1966 C60 door glass

Yeah that was my thread, but still didn't get an answer as to whether there's a difference in 1966 C60 door glass and a 1966 C10 door glass. All the suppliers list a door glass with no surround frame. The C60 I'm trying to find a glass for does have a surround frame. I guess the only way is find someone to cut a glass. Thanks everyone.

Re: 1966 C60 door glass

I thought that in your other thread you stated that the truck is actually a '63 and not a '66. If that is the case, the glass available in either one of the links will work. The door glass '60-'63 is the same shape and size whether it is for a C10 or a C60.

Re: 1966 C60 door glass

My 1966 K20 has the "Framed Glass" as you put it. Its standard on C60-C80 and was an option , sort of a Heavy Duty option , less chance of the glass getting broken. Laminated Glass as its called , came with the frames. Optional on all C and K models 10-50 series,

OK, thanks for the info. I've found a glass shop that says they can make one. Have a good day!

Ask 60-66. He seemed to know more than most answers I got and he does own one, I think.
