Your truck should have the vehicle identification number stamped on a stainless steel plate that is attached on the left front door hinge post.
Also check the driver side frame directely across from the generator, area. The number is be stamped in, Wire brush this area and it should appear.

The frame number can also be under the cab on the drivers sid. That's where it is on mine.

ok yes its on the driver side frame directely across from the generator, area.

but on the stanless blue plate attached on the left front door hinge post its only gvw rating and color paint no.

no plate with serial number on it ??

My 55 was right on the upper part of the cab door jam, and my 59 had it on the cab inside the door jam between the 2 door hinges.

Here's the one on my cab. I believe it's a 55 but the one on my original 57 cab was identical.
