LS Flywheel Torque

I am installing a 5.3 with a Muncie M20 four speed and received my ARP bolts for my flywheel to crank today. In the ARP instructions it wants 85 ft lbs of torque, and all other GM info I am reading wants 74 ft lbs - Which one should I go with, ARP or GM?

Re: LS Flywheel Torque

When using ARP Bolts, always use their torque specs, and always use the lubricant they include. As an example, torquing ARP head bolts to GM spec will not properly put stretch on the bolts, and change their strenght/yield points.

Re: LS Flywheel Torque

That is what I was thinking. I will use ARP specs, thanks for the input.
