Re: April Fools

At one time I was working as a Die Setter in the Heavy Press area at the factory. My boss was one of those guy's that thought it was funny to shut the LP tank off on our lift trucks and just when you needed it the most it would DIE!
So on the first of April I took a hot dog and stuck in one of the fingers of my glove and sprayed ketchup all over the glove. My boss was standing at his desk talking to a woman from the office so I stumbled up and threw my "Bloody " glove on his desk and told him I needed to go to medical. He turned snow white seeing that hot dog but- The Young Lady Fainted, Got chewed out for that one.

Re: April Fools

Saran wrap over door ways. Bit of a surprise when you go to walk through and hit the saran wrap.

Re: April Fools

I worked in an office that if you didn't answer your phone the call would roll over to the secretary. I worked with a guy that if his phone rang, he would take off running to get the call before it rolled over.

I don't know what he was up to. But he was up to something because he didn't want anyone else picking up his calls. And he was the type of guy that was always up to something. He was a nice guy, but a little on the shady side.

We worked in a large office. A big room. So I would wait until he got on the far end of it and call his number and watch him take off running.

He got wise to me and would always look at me if his phone rang and then run to get it if I wasn't on my phone.

Then I got a cell phone.

One time around Christmas he was up on a ladder hanging Christmas decorations. I walked up to a couple guys on the other side of the room and set my phone on the counter Then I pressed the button on my phone. His phone rang. I crossed my arms so he could see that there was nothing in my hands and I was just talking.

He about jumped off this ladder and raced across the room. We laughed our heads off.

Good thing he had a sense of humor. Because he was my boss.

Re: April Fools

Way, way back when I was a lieutenant I had a crew working a graveyard shift with me in a secure facility. We had one guy (a young ROTC cadet) that would go to sleep every night, so one night I had everyone leave quietly, and we put all the chairs in the center of the room. I turned off the lights, and I used my cell phone (it was a brick back then) and called our main facility number. It rang for quite a while, and we could hear the guy cursing as he tripped over chairs on his way to the phone. When he finally answered, I asked to speak to the officer in charge (that was me). He finally made his way to the door, and when he opened it we were all standing in the hallway. It took him a long time to live that down.

Ha! Reminds me of good ole Dave Faidley who used to work for me. I called him Faid Daily. He could ask a question and be asleep when I answered.

So we got back to the job after eating lunch standing inside the home we were building. We could see Faid Dailey out in the truck, head knocked back, mouth wide open, snoozing away. Someone gets the idea to put a firecracker by his feet with a cigarette to light the fuse. We stood in high anticipation giggling and spouting out scenarios of what will happen. We started worrying he might jump up and hurt himself or it might damage his hearing. It was taking long enough that we wondered if it went out. plenty of time to build up the slap-happy mood like a bunch of school boys. "When it goes off he's going to... HAHAHA!!!". then, just as we were thinking go get the cigarette, BOOM!!! what does Faid Daily do? Not a thing. Did not flinch. And that made it 10x funnier. We had to tell him what we did! Bwah ha ha ha!!

Sometimes it doesn't work. We gave my buddy some dragon peppers once. Hotter than hell. We all waited for him to freak out but he just kept munching on them saying "These are good" He ate them like candy. The joke was on us.

NOTICE:

I've read through this whole thread for the first time and see there are some very distasteful pranks suggested that we don't want this forum to be associated with. I have no choice but to close this thread. Sorry guys, but the fun is now over

It reminds me of when I put my foot down on something and my wife or kids just ignore what I say.

"Hey I'm in charge here" ... Hello? ... Hello? Is anyone listening to me?

Now THAT I can believe

Yeah Paul, I remember times feeling like I'm just the guy who pays the bills. "Gather 'round all. We need to talk about some things... Jonny, where ya goin'? First thing I need to see hap...pen. Hey Lisa, get back here. Tommy and Lou Lou, would you please let those two know what I'm about to say? What I need to see is... No! Not now!!"
