To me, that is the best NOS find I have ever seen! I was a parts Manager at a Cevy Dealer for 11 years and didn't even know those were available from GM!

I have an uncle that worked at the dealer where this wood was bought from. he worked their for 15 years, and during the time of purchase. He dosent remember them either. Also this wood was going to bu used for fire wood in a few months if somone didnt buy it. So i guess you could say NOS SAVED!

Re: Score of the century! nos bed wood!

I would sell it to someone that was looking to do a complete factory restore, unless of course thats what you are doing to your truck. New bed wood kits are probably better anyway and you should easily get enough for that NOS kit to purchase a new kit, with money left over...Nice find.

hopefully that will help stop those offering insanely low....a 450 asking price on msgross's thread and honestly your boards look to be much cleaner and darker black and no cracking that I saw...

Re: Score of the century! nos bed wood!

Amazing this stuff is still out there!

The revision date on the picking tag sticker reflects "10/81" and the date is "08-28-85"

I think there is a law that states replacement parts have to be obtainable for ten years after production. Since the wood is for a 67-72 guess that means they made the wood past the 10 year requirement.
