Re: 69 Olive Verde

I love the finish you chose for the engine bay. Is it a satin or a matte?

Still plugging away at the small details and wiring. Getting very close to completion...fingers crossed no major issues arise.

Re: 69 Olive Verde

I really wish I had picture updates for you guys but wiring doesn't make good pictures. So I guess the next set of pictures will be after it is running on its own power. So be on the lookout!

Re: 69 Olive Verde

Finally some news to report. Added some more grounds and pressurized and filled the coolant. Added oil, power steering fluid and some 91 octane and it is ALIVE!!!
What a milestone.

Did have a few hiccups, leaky fuel fitting, gauges stay powered up even with key off (sure that's my goof). Also had a bad rythum noice coming around the trans tunnel, turned out my wiper motor was on, haha.

Now that I know motor wiring is good it's time to move on to the Advanced Key System push start and alarm.

Congratulations man! The home stretch is on brother. You will have to beat them away at the gas station if you are in a rush. You've got a real head turner for sure. Very tastefully executed. On a side note, I am on the hunt for a steering wheel, who makes that one in your truck?

Much appreciated. I have given my all to make sure I have gone the extra mile with every detail.

I now have all the systems in place and working except the floor lighting and the remote start.

Re: 69 Olive Verde

Big thanks to Vic1947 for his trouble shooting help with the advanced key system. He's a model forum member!

I will post up some pictures this weekend as the interior goes together more. Just a few more wires to sort out.

Absolutely. I will try and do a clear and simple wiring diagram using the AK-PSB06 system.

I too will hopefully be able to add this feature with the help of you and Vic. When you’re writing out your processes of the install, think “push button start for dummies”, and I might be able to do it myself 😂

I can do that.

Sorry for lack of picture updates but after a 60+hr work week I have been working backwards this weekend. Started taking engine bay apart in preparation for waterpump replacement. Hooray for good quality parts these days. Pulled all the push start system out to organize and reroute. Did get all my interior leds operational but that was the only positive progression. Wish I had done those first because now I can see under the dash.

All wiring gremlins delt with. And just a couple minor interior things to check off the list to be complete.

Yep. The one I put on when I was going through the motor this spring was leaking out of the weap hole everytime I shut the truck off. Each time was a larger amount. So I replaced everything again, used aluminum gaskets, all new fluid, stainless thermostat, and lifetime warranty on this water pump. After I put it all together I vacum tested the system and it held perfectly. So that's all behind me now.
