Re: What color blue

Not to get too technical, but that color is Blue and that's not a Blazer. The shade looks like Medium Blue that GM offered, 510 for solid color code.

FYI, the paint color on post 4's 67 looks WAAAY better, awesome in person. You should buy a half pint and test spray something with it!!!

Lighting conditions and your computer screen can make such a difference.
Here's the same truck photographed in my shop. Color looks different as you can see.

Re: What color blue

If it matters to the OP (not sure what year vehicle he's painting or if year specificity matters at all): in this era, 506 was a 67-68 color and 510 was a 71-72 color only.
And both are awesome. 70 has its own set of blues too (501 & 508, both metallic).
For me, 510 medium blue is almost as quintessential an era truck color as 514 red (and its two tone variants). Seems there were tons of them, but I don't see as many 510 blues around today.

Re: What color blue

It may be 507 baby blue but it looks darker.

Re: What color blue

Good point Nate. I think it's really kinda hard to tell on the 1st pic in post #1 (but agree it's a little dark for 507).

On the other pics though..
If I HAD to guess, I'd say the 2nd pic in post #1 is 507 blue (the lowered swb truck BUT it's still kinda hard to tell, this could also be a 510 medium blue) - and the last pic (lower right burb) in post #1 is 510 blue.

That would be called a Suburban. Blazers are shorter, have a white removable top.

Re: What color blue

Thay all look medium blue to me. Great color, same as my 72. I do like the metallic as well.

It’s actually shortened Suburban that’s the same length of Blazer, so I can see how he’d be confused.
