Your readers might be interested in a few NEW USA-made GMC stepside tailgates for 55-62 and 63-87 GMC Pickups. These tailgates are made of 16 gage electro-galvanized steel and have welded construction and accurate bends and dimensions like the originals. Each one has the correct GMC script. The 55-62 tailgates are brand new and have not been reproduced before now.

These excellent quality tailgates are GM Restoration Parts supplied by MAR-K Specialized Mfg., an authorized General Motors Licensee. Made in Oklahoma City, USA.

I looked around the site but couldn't find any info on body panels for my fleetside 76. Do you carry that stuff?

Blink32: We don't make the fleetside panels for the 76 at this time. We do, however, have an extensive listing of Stepside bed sides, front bed panels, etc. I'll be sure to put it on our request list! Thanks.

Also, just letting you know that we have FREE UPS ground shipping on these tailgates as well as nearly all of our parts. All you pay is the $7.95 handling fee.

Chevydog66: The short answer is no. We are not licensed to manufacture the fleetside tailgates. Sold our last GMC import tailgate a few weeks ago and will not be carrying them anymore.

My bodyman is doing an early 50's pickup and the owner of the truck ordered all new bed parts for the project (tailgate, boxsides, cross sills...). It is the Oklahoma made product talked about here and I have to say, WOW, this stuff is awesome. I, as well as my bodyman was very impressed with the quality. I only wished they made more parts for the 67-72 era.

Would it be posiable to just get a peice of sheet metal from you that has the "gmc" inscription on it? Say 5' x 1' or so?

Chuck: As you might expect, GM is very protective of their trademarks and rightly so. We are licensed to manufacture the tailgates with GM trademark on them, but any other use of the trademark would be a violation of our agreement. We would not be able to supply the sheetmetal part that you request.
