Re: What was original color scheme

Nice looking truck!

Bit of a change from the SPID. The lower mirror mounts are about where the upper belt molding would run. Someone welded all the holes shut?

Re: What was original color scheme

From a Google Search of 67-72 RPO Codes it looks like;

B85 = body side molding (upper)
like the bronze/white Pickup posted by Kehstr

BX2 = body side molding (Wide Lower)
does anyone have a photo of this RPO Code molding ?

Re: What was original color scheme

Basic Custom 3/4 ton 4-wheel drive truck with both upper and lower trim. The lower trim would have been black, not wood grain. The list of options (upgrades), full gauge package, full foam seat, chrome front bumper, power steering, and 350.

Re: What was original color scheme

How do you know if the two tone white went in the middle of the fender, door, and bed between the two pieces of body trim ?

Thanks MJN

That is some great information

Look at page 11 tow hooks, this says the front tow hook were not available with Crome bumpers

This is really great information
Thank You !

I believe you can tell based on the order in which the SPID states the color. It always states the top color first and work your way down the truck from there. So white / medium bronze is white top, everything else medium bronze. If it was two tone between the trim it would say "White/Med Bronze/White/Med Bronze or some abbreviation of that. Here is an example from the SPID Picture Thread

Re: What was original color scheme

To add to that, my truck came as white/huggerorange/white, so the body below the lower molding was white. It's been repainted and my FiL had the whole lower painted hugger orange. I'd like to put the white back, I like that more. But I don't want to do the body work.
