I was at my sister's in the Shenandoah Valley for a week, but I guess I never took any sunset pictures, only morning. Their view is to the west off of Blue Ridge looking over Massanutten. The one evening after dark there was crazy lightning storms lighting up the clouds to the N/W way off in the distance. So far you couldn't hear any thunder. My BIL said one time he saw something like that and found out it was over 100 miles away in way Western Maryland where my mom lives. He went in and checked radar and sure enough, same thing again, it was in the same area. It was what was left of a tropical storm. This was one morning. I thought the clouds were interesting. Looks like three different types

If I can find a safe spot for me to lay fire, I can shoot 5 rounds into a target at 50 yards and cover them with a quarter. That's bench rest, of course.

I hope you all don't mind me taking us back to another pleasant landscape picture. This is my two year older sister pointing to where the farm my grandmother grew up on is. This is Garrett County, MD, the western most county in the state which is west of the Eastern Continental Divide. The valley below is known as "The Cove" and this was taken at a wayside overlook along the state hiway. I've been stopping at this overlook all my life. Still looks the same.

Rear banjo on my 07 Dodge. Rotted away but the rest of the undercarriage is in great shape. Front carrier looks like new. I'm thinking bad Chinese cast iron. Temp repair JB Stickweld. And 5 coats of por15 untill I find a replacement.
In all my years of old cars and trucks in the northeast this is a first.

sumthing you don't see in my town, 2 porsche 911 gt3's sitting side by side at the lights. pretty sure they were from out of town, the license plate holder on both cars was from an out of town dealer.

Another picture from "up home" when I was up last month. I get up earlier than my mom, so I'd head out every morning and explore some. The town is along the river, which is in a valley surrounded by mountains. The fog from the river was thick this morning as I took a road off the ridge that dropped part way down into the fog. An old graveyard, not town, no church, just out on the mountainside. I suppose there once was a church. Eerie yet very peaceful and quiet. They have their privacy still, after all these years
