Ohio Meet

Ok Guys and Gals, I would like to know if a Ohio Meet in say Sept. sounds good to you. I've talked to Mike (Fine69) and he has said yes to having it at his place again this year. What I would like to have is a roll call of the Ohio Members. And then the adjoining States (MI,IN, KY,PA) if coming also. I myself will be way to busy to go to the Indy meet, with my summer work schedule. But would like the later Sept time. Mike also wants to do it in Sept.I guess a few ideas also would be helpful in the planning. Like if spouses, and kids are coming. And what kind of meal to do. I myself have a huge cooker for doing a hobo dinner. And I can also supply lots of tables, but would need chairs to go with them. You can either PM me, or use my work e-mail addy: apelth@oplin.org. I hope theres some interest in this. Well catch later, Tom.

Sounds like a plan Mr Wagon. (inside joke from last year)
Count me in. Last year's Truck Rally was awsome and with a great turn out. I hink 17 members including Fine69 and his wife (Who does have her own user ID)

Count me in, and let me know what I need to do/bring.

Here are some pics from last year since the old thread no longer has many pics due to the new format. All you local new members need to go, you'll be amazed at the turn out, the friendly ppl, and exactly how crazy Mike really is in person!

Oh yea. More fun planned. I will have my new hoist functioning in the new shop. That way we can lift up our trucks and be in awe of the rust. hehe. Bring your projects and lets work on them.
Post your idea's and what dates you would like to see this happen on. Thanks

you can count on me being there as long as Cheesewagon does not bring pink screwdrivers again(lol). the first7-4-04 or second 7-11-04 week of sept would probley be the best. not to hot and not too cold.

dmurphy68, you still seeing the same chick as from last year? (I can't remember her name for the life of me) Bring her along. We had a pretty good time just sittin back and BS'in. I was actually concerned you would see her with me and think the wrong thing.
At the least, tell her I said hey.

I really hope to make it there this year...however I don't know if my truck can. My summer is pretty busy 65-70 hrs of work/week, so hopefully I can get off.

Depending on what weekend, and my work schedule, I'd really like to attend. That is if y'all don't mind an ex-ohioan-kentuckian in the mix! I promise I'll put my shoes back on as I cross the bridge!! :p

Where exactly in Urbana is Fine 69? Just looking at the pics has me really considering using my holidays and make a trip...

Any one have an idea how long it takes to get to Detroit from/near Urbana or Columbus?

Here is Urbana...just west of Columbus.
Mike is just to the west on 36...I think about 4 or 5 miles from the down town statue.

Jonhy Outdoors, yes your very welcome to the meet. I did a map search for you. Looks like you would come down 90West to 71. Looks like about 380 miles and like a little over 6hr drive. I'll e-mail the page to you, later Tom.

One other thing...I may have room for a couple ppl to camp out at my place. My wife is cool with it as long as we don't get crazy or anything.
I'll have to see if a few ppl are coming before I can confirm this...I already told a few ppl they could crash here...but if none of them come,. or if they chainge there mind...I have a little bit of room here...no spare beds, but better than sleeping in a tent is it happens to rain that night (like last year) or if mike's dogs chase skunks into the yard.

Hey Canadian694x4 do you want to hook with me in Toledo, just off 75 south. You could either park at my place and ride down with me, or just follow me down. It's your choice, but your welcome either way, Tom.

Thanks Longhorn...I was looking at a similar map on mapquest.com...I figure it would be a 6-7 hour drive for me...and possibly a little more if I get held up at the border etc...

I would like to make it this year. With gas prices don't know if I would be able to drive the Jimmy though.
