Post New member - old truck

I've been following various threads on this board over the past month, kind of doing homework on what I'm getting myself into over the next couple of years/decades.

I just picked up a truck that I actually bought sight unseen about a month ago that my nephew found for me. It's a '71 C10 Deluxe, 350/Th350, PS, PB, AC, Longbed, 78K original miles on it.

I should have some pics tonight on here, just didn't have time to transfer them from the camera last night.

Put a battery in it, some air in the tires, some coolant in the radiator, and promptly drove it 300 miles home. Some new tires and a little bit of cancer repair here and there, and it will drive and look better than most of my friends 80's and 90's trucks, of course, most of them are fords, so you have to make some allowances.

I just want to say thanks for everything I've learned over the last month, and thanks in advance for answering questions while I build the only truck I plan on owning for the next 30 years.

I say it's only money, and the wife says it's only a truck.....

May those who love us, love us, any of those who do not love us, may God turn their hearts.
And if God is unable to turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we may know them by their limping.

A man who works with his hands is a laborer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman; but a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist.
