Hoping I read this right...This "dually" does. Im guessing some did & some didnt. Sorta odd how some vehicles were only sold with smog as an option.

California emissions vehicles were the only ones that had these to my knowledge in 1979. I have one on my 79 3/4 ton that is an original California vehicle.

Usually no for that year. If you were to open the gas door is there a sticker that says unleaded fuel only? If so then it should have an air pump. My 76 truck had all that garbage on it, Cali truck

My dad has a 79 cc dually with the 454. It is a california truck and it does have a air pump, and it was also listed as an option on the buld sheet...
