1978 radiator 350 CI
Just replaced my radiator on my 78 and there appears to be a difference in the top cover that bolts to the core support.
It looks like the tanks on the new rad are narrower than the one I removed. I do not have the old one here anymore as the shop said it was not repairable, He said this was the right one, BUT now the top support and shroud do not fit. I am going to go back and talk to them but I would like to see some pics of the vertical sides of the shroud where it mates with the rad. I think he sold me a common in stock rad and not a "desert" or big block rad

Sucks we arent closer. I have the EXACT OPPOSITE problem you do. Mine is a big block radiator I had to take the rubber isolators out to get to fit without much movement.
Sounds like you and I should swap. |

when we replaced the radiator in my 82 the newfangled plastic tank pieces of junk had to be held in with the newer claws with the rubber isolator on them we eliminated the whole cover that was original and the shroud bold to the radiator

Sounds like you got screwed out of a good radiator or they just dont know what they are doing.
