1979 c10 2wd stepside fuel filter location

Howdy, I have a stock truck and see no filter from pump to carb. Is the filter under the truck between the tank and pump? What are the stock wrenches needed? That would help me out great so my fat torso isn't laying on the cold pavement for too long.

Thanks

usually where the fuel line goes into the carb is a fitting where there is a filter. YOu will need a good crescent wrench to grab the housing then loosen up the line with a line wrench then after the line is off back out that housing . there should be a filter in there with a spring. good luck

As Bob states the fuel filter on a 4 barrel carb is inside the carb where the fuel line enters the carb. If you remove the air cleaner assembly it even has it stamped into the carb housing right above the inlet.

And be gentle and careful when reinstalling the filter nut, the threads are soft and strip easily.
