Temp sending unit '59 Gmc

The one that is on my truck is bad, and I have been told that it is the wrong one

The people with the Gmc's can you see if you have the correct one?

Oops posted before finished I will check my 6 cylinder but I believe the guy at auto parts gave me one out of v8 Chevy but it works

Quick look online shows the type with a round "t" top for slide on connector. Two part numbers came up PM152 and PM153. I am using the original from my 235 which is that type, next time I go out I will see what the PN is. If the sensor with the right resistance is not used the gauge will read high or low. New ones are $12.

Well I bought one locally from a Good place... Installing it now...Cutting the prong off and putting on the new end clip
