72 gmc grill question........

I had my Body Shop take off my Grill so I could "Zip Strip" the Black paint off of it and Polish it up with some 0000 Steel Wool.
I bought new L & R Eyebrows and the "Hood Edge Molding".After I cleaned off the stripper and paint, I noticed a 4" long gash where the Chrome has peeled off. It seems to be on the piece that is "circled" in the attached picture. Since the Truck and new pieces are not here, I'm pretty sure that the "Hood Edge Molding" is what I need to replace the corroded piece. I'm just looking for some confirmation, from the more knowledgeable members.

(I may not have my Verbiage correct for the piece I'm describing):uhmk:

Re: 72 gmc grill question........

I call it the upper grille surround and the "eyebrows" I call outer grille surrounds, since that's what they are called on a Chevy. I've never had anyone not know what I was talking about. That seems to be the piece that gets messed up most of the time. You lucked out.
