The brackets would be for putting together a 'kit' utilizing Impala rotors w/F-body (LS1?) calipers w/a parking/emergency brake correct?

If so.... I would be interested in a set.

SCOTI, the calipers with the built in e-brakes are the LT1's, the LS1's use the hat style e-brake like the Impala's.

Re: Who has Impala SS rear disc brakes ??

Has anyone came up with p/n's for the brake lines, rotors, calipers etc...just to make it a little easier. I have 4 wheel drum 6 lug, I looking at a rolling 71 frame for the 5 lug set up, I should be able to use the axles from it for the rear right??

Is it cheaper to go Camaro or Impala calipers???

Which one does everyone use, LT1 or LS1 style?

Re: Who has Impala SS rear disc brakes ??

If the LS1 is like the impala ss you would need the backing plate to use the e-brake.

Re: Who has Impala SS rear disc brakes ??

What is the rotor diameter for this setup (Impala calipers) and how far would the caliper rise beyond the rotor? Trying to figure out the wheel needs.

No prob Bob. I had to ask Brett about this since he's the authority on LT1/LS1 brakes after doing the swap on his car.

If it were me I'd probably use the LT1 stuff, although Brett says he heard they need regular use to stay adjusted like the Caddy calipers.

Re: Who has Impala SS rear disc brakes ??

I'm still on the fence on which to use for my own truck I will probably go with the Impala since I don't need an e-brake, and I like things simple ya know........

I almost never use the e-brake, and i figure i could always install a line lock for the rare occasion that i need to.

Re: Who has Impala SS rear disc brakes ??

you could always install the camaro ones and not hook up the e-brake. Then if you ever had too, you woulnt have to pull the brakes off to swap parts.

Just to make sure, this setup will work on 73-87 12 bolts?

Re: Who has Impala SS rear disc brakes ??

To bad no one is making a replacement flange so you could bolt up the impala drum in hat e brake

For the six luggers you can use a 88-93 front chevy truck 4x4 rotor take it to a machine shop and have the hub hole cut out bigger I know this works cause I did a disc brake swap on my 97 and used impala rotors and the kit says if you have six lugs use the 88-93 4x4 fronts and have them modified, I beleive tsm manufacturing sells them already modified for you
