Brake lines:Drum VS Disc brakes

I've got some new pre bent brake lines available to install on my 71 (Discs). The lines were new but for a pre 71 (Drum brake) truck..Will these work on my 71 or am I SOL? This is just a set of line to do the front of the truck and connect to my new ones I bent up for the rest of the truck.

Re: Brake lines:Drum VS Disc brakes

Bringing it back from the dead! I need to know details too. I want to put a '72 K10 booster, master & prop. valve on the '68 K1500 (OE drums & no power now) along with a disc brake mid '70s disc brake 44 front end.

1. I need a new prop. valve- it is stuck. No fluid to the rears. What all fits (and works) right?

2. If I buy '72 K10 hoses, will I need to replace the steel lines? or can I just adapt?

3. Lines from wheels to prop. valve. What will I run into there?

Re: Brake lines:Drum VS Disc brakes

The soft lines (rubber hoses) went to the frame and connected to the hard lines in different spots.I ended up just bending my own lines.I bent the lines from the prop. valve to the soft rubber hoses up front, and all the way back to the drums on the back of the truck.I think the prop valve from any 71 to when they went to IFS should work.
