Re: If you had the money what would you do to your truck?

On my suburban,
Duramax/ Allison swap, new paint blue and white in truck style (like hart rod). Truck rear taillights, tailgate, 4th door mod, combine hatch and tailgate into auto lift gate, rear hatch glass opens, side glass and back hatch glass with no gaskets, huge long sunroof (like newer vans and Audi wagons) with automatic screen. Custom interior using buckets up front, and buddy buckets on the back two rows that fold up for rear access, all in stock looking houndstooth. AC vents in the rear with vents along the sides. Air bag suspension, not to mention power windows, locks, hydro boost, etc.
Can you tell I've thought about this much?
Shawn

Re: If you had the money what would you do to your truck?

Would the back AC vents be under the front seat?

Re: If you had the money what would you do to your truck?

Nope, not on my build. They would be in the headliner between the panoramic sunroof and the edge of where the headliner is on the sides. It would be a perfect run on both sides.

Re: If you had the money what would you do to your truck?

See below...........any questions? Add in the body mods im already a$$ deep in, plus a nice coat of "Sepang Bronze" & "Titanium". Mix in power windows, a/c, keyless ignition, e30 projectors w/hid, custom fabbed LED tails and a leather & wool interior and it'd be close to done!

Re: If you had the money what would you do to your truck?

I'd build 2.
The 69 will always be my comfy workhorse so I'd do the 8bolt Disc swap up front, 14bolt or dana swap rear, proper slight lower (2.5/4), pumped up LQ9/4l80 swap, Custom build a short extended cab with a standard longbed, new pair of comfy buckets up front with extra soundproofing and a nice stereo inside.

Then for my hotrod, I'm wanting a short stepper C10-maybe a 67-68 GMC for a different style. Lowered 4/6, old school 454/th400/built 12bolt and set up for street-strip fun, all business interior.

Actually I would be a happy with a four car and low ceilings. It's got to be easy to heat if I'm going to be out there in the winter or it's not any fun

Money a non-issue?

I'd attempt an era-correct Golden Cameo tribute truck, with functioning Camaro flip lights and lots of period correct performance stuff or all the super rare options.

Re: If you had the money what would you do to your truck?

Several things I would do... First I would have a complete boxed frame build for the truck... Then get a complete Hotchkiss front and rear suspension for it... Then stick a sweetly built LS-6 with a 6 speed automatic in... That would be a good start... but since I don't have that kind of money and really want this to get done before I croak... I am making do with what I have... LOL

Re: If you had the money what would you do to your truck?

I would send a check to falconer for one of the chevy indy car v8's, anther check for to hewland for a SL 6spd transaxle then have them sit in my garage collecting dust with the rest of my junk.
I would also buy a tore up k30 to build as a mud/trail truck but I would put the 572 bb in the bed backwards with the trans & transfercase under the cab, custom 14 bolts front and rear with the diffs flipped to correct the rotation due to the backwards engine & a big bar-b-que pit where the engine would normally go cause we get a little hungry on the trails.

the final accessory would be a beer assistant & my garage would be located in the middle of a strip club
