Question Soft Top Pattern

Anybody know where I can get a pattern for a soft top? Want to make a custom canvas top for my K5.

I think that someone is working on this over on CK5 (is it you?). I think that GrimReaper is also trying to get a pattern made for a bikini top. If you know someone with a soft top near you, you might be able to borrow it to take to the shop where your going to have it made.

I take it you don't like the tops offered by http://www.specialtytopco.com/ or [urlhttp://bestop.com/[/url]. I have an old kayline on mine and I like it. The fit is nice and it is easy to put up and down.

Yeah I'm working that board as well. Trying all possibilites. Thanks for the post about hatches awhile back.

I'm OK with the ones offered by STC, but I really like the Fast Track design that doesnt need the snaps along the rails. I'll probably buy a Fast Track if all fails.

At this point I need to save a little money, plus I'd really prefer to have a top made out of canvas as opposed to vinyl.

Have you checked with a boat shop. If they make custom covers and tops for boats, they should have the ability to make on for your K-5. You could have it made in Sunbrella too! This might be more expensive than buying a top directly from STC. There were some guys on CK5 trying to get CanBacks built for their first Gens a while back. I don't think they got very far but you might try bringing it up again.
