CABELA'S 50TH ANNIVERSARY '68 CHEVY TRUCK on sale

Hey all. The CABELA'S 50TH ANNIVERSARY '68 CHEVY TRUCK (1:25 scale) is on sale for $9.88 plus shipping and tax. I just ordered one for a total of $17.14. I've attached a couple of pics and a link to the Cabelas site. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabel...ck/1173129.uts

I hope the mirrors are still attached when I get it. LOL. I've got so many of these diecasts, and half of the mirrors have been lost/fallen off.

Dang, maybe between all 3 you might have one with good mirrors. hehe Got the email from Cabela's yesterday that the shipping was around $10. I though 9.88 was a good deal, 7.90 is even better! I wish I had a Cabela's close by to stock up on these as they surely be worth something someday.

UPS guy just delivered mine; mirrors intact.
It came in a display box, then packed in a "for retail" individual box, and then packed in a shipping box.
Well worth the money; to me.

Re: CABELA'S 50TH ANNIVERSARY '68 CHEVY TRUCK on sale

I went by a Cabela's a couple weeks ago (in my friend's '59 Reo). If I was driving I would have swung in and nabbed one. I'd like just a plain non-printed one of these,or several since they made different colors. I did bump into just one Napa version in a small town store when visiting a friend, and bought it. I got it in '11 and I thing it was from '10. Never saw any at my Napa. It's a pretty sharp example of a possible earlier Napa part gitter

I haven't ever seen the Napa truck. Nice touch with the boxes in the back.
The Cabelas is made by First Gear also
.

No clue. There wasn't anything mentioned on the Cabellas or First Gear site. Nothing on the box either. I haven't opened mine, so I don't know the #.

I'd pay 30.00 for it, now to find one. I guess I'll be stopping at some NAPA stores on my trip to the USA this month.

Yeah Jamie, when I saw mine I asked how much and they said something like $18-20. When he rung it up he says,"Oh,I was wrong. Looks like it's $30. Still want it?" Seriously? How can you ask me that? Don't you see the hook snagged in my jaw?

The Cabela's truck only has a drivers door mirror ,,none on the passenger door ,any ways mine came that way and no evidence of one being broken off..

With almost 130,000 members, it doesn't really seem to be an issue.

No matter, the thread did not fit the context for the moderator to even post up.
You can go from 130,000 to less than a third of that real fast with overzealous
