Bed Floor

What year did Chevy. trucks have metal floors? A man in Joliet, IL. has a 69 long bed with a metal floor in the bed.

Re: Bed Floor

it became standard in 67 to have the steel floor in GM fleetside trucks (both in 6 1/2 foot and 8 foot beds). The wood was optional. The longhorn (8 1/2 foot bed) came in only wood, as did the stepsides.
Stepsides kept the wood floor till the end of 87... and I know fleetsides had the option well into that 73 - 87 generation, but not sure if the option lasted till the end of that model run.
