New to Forum. Looking at truck - price??

Hello everyone my name is Chad and I am new to this forum.

I am looking at a 1972 Chevy C-20 Fleetside on Ebay and was wondering what you thought of the price. I have seen the truck in person and it matches the description acurately.

The only thing it needs is color sanding and some new tires and wheels. Wheels would be a WANT rather than a NEED.

Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is a link to the page on Ebay:

Thanks,

Chad

it looks like a nice truck but..... ive seen many in same condition in the 4k to 5k range. its your choice, its still a good truck. how long have you been looking at these trucks? i would just see how this price compares to others in your area. just my two cents!

Chad

If you are interested make him an offer. He should get the message that it may be a little high since he didn't get any takers... It probably would have sold if it had been a short box. Just my 2¢--

I see the auction ended without a bid entered.

I like the truck but probably wouldn't go over about 5k for it. If you can pick it up from 4500 to 5000 I would say do it and make my jealous..

After reading the description and looking at the pictures he probably has about 4G into the rig. I would ask for reciepts for the rebuild because one guys rebuild maybe puting a new cam in an old motor. Look that it has been completely machined. I am not a big fan of TH350's so there is a hit. I would say that 6K is not to much if he has reciepts for the rebuild. I would want detailed pictures of the cab corners inside and out and the rocker panels. I would also look at the vent ducting and the lower door posts. When I look at the cost of new chevy pu's I would rather spend the money on an old one and have a better truck you can fix if it breaks. Good luck with your purchase.

Keep look'n.
It's not enough truck for $6k, but would be well worth it at 4500. I think you can do a lot better. For $6k you should expect a completed paint job at the very least.

I think it is well worth the money. I can see the old engine on the ground under the rebuilt on the engine stand, if you have seen it in person and can verify what has been done it is well woth the money. Yea you could buy one for a few grand, but by the time you do to it what has been done here, you will be in it over 10gs.
