lumbar support broke

As the title states, the lumbar support in my truck's seat broke, making it pretty damn uncomfortable to drive (the seat became really soft, lost all support, and my back sinks and curls uncomfortably into the seat, I'm a skinny turd). Anyone ever had to fix this before? Can it be fixed? I've never really taken a seat apart before. The knob just spins and after a search on S10forum.com all I could come up with was a cable broke and GM will only sell the whole lumbar support thing and it's over $200. The seats in my truck are in nice shape and before this was pretty comfy.

Re: lumbar support broke

I've never had to fix this nor, do I know how. I think if it is just a cable, I'd take it apart and try to fix it. The worst would be you would have to buy a new part to fix it.

Re: lumbar support broke

I was going to try to pull it out today, but it was crazy cold out and will be tomorrow too

I'd like to try to get it apart myself. I guess no one here has ever had to do it. I also went to check to see if the one on the PS was broken, but it doesn't even have one, so I sat in the PS seat.... pretty comfy... dang it
