Re: engine hoist

No it was edited and james w has PMd me quite hatefully as he was quite upset by that. This post is asking for a loaner not a sale, so its being left for now....

Re: engine hoist

Thanks Liz.. I also wanted to ask how far it was from Bryan, Tx.

James, if you can't locate someone close to you maybe you have something I need over your ways and we can meet halfways or something. I can loan you my hoist. Just trying to help out a member.

Re: engine hoist

I just bought one last night at Northern Tool for 160 bucks. I can see where I'm gonna have a ton of uses for it already. I'm going to use it shortly for a engine swap in the project 72.

Re: engine hoist

Someone here on the forum recently bought one from an O'reillys auto store (or similar) and the boom bend in half, dropping its load right on the floar. be wary of the cheapies. I bought mine from someone @ Craigslist for $120.

A friend of mine has one made by Goodyear (or at least, it's branded as such). I think he paid a little over $100 for it at our local Sam's Wholesale outlet. We got those and two Goodyear engine stands for less than $400.
