Help identifying part

I started this project 30 years ago and I'm finally finishing it. I've bought many parts along the way, sometimes twice! It is a 71 2wd Blazer. Does anyone know why I bought this? There are 2 of them.

Re: Help identifying part

Top one looks like carpet trim either in the front or back of the tub. Bottom one kinda looks like the wiring harness gutter against the firewall

Re: Help identifying part

Thanks for responding. They are packaged together, so I'm sure they are a set.

Re: Help identifying part

They are 36" long, and the rubber piece is 2 1/4" wide.

Re: Help identifying part

Wonder if the rubber piece is a tailgate or hatch gasket of some sort. I haven't had a K5 in about 20 years

Re: Help identifying part

That's too short for a carpet strip. Can you post more detailed photos of the metal piece? I'd like to see the profile and face better. Not looking like an OEM part to me thus far.

Re: Help identifying part

What has me especially confused is that I have two of the metal pieces obviously used and in primer! It also came with screws.

Re: Help identifying part

It might be a sweep for your garage door but it's not an OE-style part that I can think of

Resembles parts like the tailgate upright seal retainers, single wall top hold down plates, and tailgate to hatch seal but is none of these.

Re: Help identifying part

Yeah, it does look like some sort of door sweep, but I don't know why I would have the used ones.
