Help ! 72 Jimmy

Can you use bedsides from a short box pickup to repair a 72 jimmy bed w some mods . The jimmy is toast and I can’t bare to see it get crushed but I’m on a bartenders salary in a pandemic. So I’m down to do the labor. Any tricks on scaring pieces from a shortbox? Bed floor is nonexistent. Any help is greatly appreciated. Let’s keep em alive folks.

Even new replacement panels would not be a bad investment

Re: Help ! 72 Jimmy

I’d like to see what used stuff is out there for sale even if I had to work on it some . Probably buying the bed floor aftermarket and bolting it on the frame after I clean it up would be a smart spot to build off of. It’s just long bread for me. VT is a ghost town when it comes to parts
